What is an Accessible PDF?

Accessible PDFs allow assistive technology users to understand and navigate content. If a PDF is not made accessible, the user may read the document in the wrong order, without important pieces of information or graphics, or in a format that is too mixed up to make any sense.

A screen reader is just one of the many tools under the assistive technology blanket. It is a piece of software that conveys what sighted people see on a computer screen into a non-visual format such as audio.

Assistive technology promotes independence by allowing people to overcome daily living challenges, which is at the heart of our mission. We strive to deliver accurate and compliant accessible documents so that our clients have access to all the important information they need.

MAB is ready to deliver Section 508 compliant Accessible PDFs to your customers today! Our staff is trained, certified, and because we employ people who are blind or visually impaired, we know firsthand what your clients are looking for.
