COVID-19 Update

Agency Update From: Tracy Libertino-Fegarsky, President and CEO

01.13.2021

Mecklenburg County’s Public Health Director, Gibbie Harris issued a Directive on Tuesday January 12, 2021 asking non-essential businesses, schools and individuals to revert to “full virtual” operations wherever in person activity is not required. For this reason our Mecklenburg County based Low Vision Clinic facility and non-essential administrative resources will operate virtually and suspend in person operations effective immediately. The Directive will remain in effect for the next three weeks, until February 2, 2021 at which time we will reevaluate and communicate our plan moving forward. Other Metrolina Association for the Blind, Inc. services currently active and able to operate virtually or outside of Mecklenburg County will continue to operate.
